IslamLeicester was established early in 2006 and is a British organisation conceived by a group of professional Leicester Muslims.

The aims of IslamLeicester are:

• To engage and contribute to the community of Leicester representing the true face of Islam
• To invite Muslims back to the true teachings of Islam
• To invite and to educate non-Muslims about the true teachings of Islam

We hope to achieve these aims through various means including:

• Regular talks and lectures
• Organising seminars and public exhibitions
• Engagement with mainstream press through letters and articles on current affairs
• Co-ordinated works of charity to help those in want in society, through co-operation with established British charitable organisations and caring professions

IslamLeicester will work with other communities, professionals and multi-faith groups in contributing constructively to a better, more vibrant and tolerant Leicester community.
